A dark 2D side-scrolling action RPG with roguelike progression, layered objectives, and inventory management inspired by extraction-style games.

This project started as a learning journey based on a Udemy course, then gradually expanded with additional systems and original implementations. Beyond the core side-scrolling RPG foundation, the game features a grid-based inventory system inspired by extraction looter games, item pickup and loot handling, floor-based objectives, collection progression, a skill tree system, and a roguelike-style curse mechanic that changes how each run unfolds.

Some features were developed through a combination of course learning, online resources, YouTube references, AI-assisted problem solving, and my own design and implementation. The goal of this project was not only to practice game development in Unity, but also to explore how multiple gameplay systems can be combined into a darker, more progression-driven action experience.
